If we are
dealing with massive wood, any furniture with full parts that has not suffered
from important woodworm damage can turn into a new one with the help of a good restauration. Steps to be taken:
1. If we believe that there may be woodworms, start a treatment (see At home).
2. Dismantle completely: the pieces of wood, iron elements, glass, etc.
3. Remove the varnish, painting or wax with glass paper or with a stripping
agent.
4. Polish the wood with thin glasspaper.
5. Cover the furniture with some finish (varnish, wax, etc...).
6. Reassemble furniture.
