On October 27th, the UNEP/MAP Regional Activity Center for Cleaner Production (CP/RAC) organized its first Sustainable Events Workshop in the framework of CAMP Levante de Almeria project in the village of Garrucha (Spain).
The participants were 15 professionals who work organizing events and meetings, both in public institutions (city councils, regional government, etc) and in private companies (travel agencies, hotel responsible for events, event management companies, etc).
The Global Eco Forum 2011 has closed its fourth edition to currently become one of the most interesting global dialogues on sustainability in the euromediterranean region. This edition has covered widely the expectations of the organizers, collaborators and participants thanks to the quality of presentations, the noted number of attendees and the high level of participants in workshops and roundtables.
The Regional Activity Centre for Cleaner Production (CP/RAC) organizes the “Egypt Green Days – Empowering Changemakers” on the 15th, 16th and 17th of November 2011 in the New Campus of the American University in Cairo.
The Egypt Green Days will be composed by three workshops to provide participants with information, tips, tools and ideas for creating green businesses, organizing sustainable events and fighting against dangerous chemical substances.
The Regional Activity Centre for Cleaner Production (CP/RAC), under the framework of CAMP Levante project, organizes on Thursday October 27th a training course titled "How to organize sustainable events".
The course contents are aimed at learning different techniques, systems and tools for organizing events in a way that respects the environment in order to minimize their environmental impact in the area of the coast of Almería (Spain).
The first impacts of the BAT4MED project were seen in the Mediterranean Partner Countries last September with the beginning of training seminars for auditors together with the first technical audits in industries. Both activities were carried out during 3 days (1 for training and 1 for each audit), starting in Tunisia on 19th of September, in Morocco the 23rd of September and in Egypt the 3rd of October.
