GREEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP FORUM
This year the VI Mediterranean Week of Economy Leaders is organizing a Green Entrepreneurship Forum lead by the Regional Activity Centre for Cleaner Production of UNEP/MAP. The event will bring together actors from the Mediterranean green entrepreneurship ecosystem to share their experiences and views on this growing economy sector that is a main driver in the transition to green economies.

INCUBATION PROGRAM FOR GREEN ENTREPRENEURS

From October, 11th, to November, 15th, the Regional Activity Center for Cleaner Production, with the support of Barcelona Activa, is offering in Barcelona a five-session incubation program for anyone aiming to build a new company or product, in the field of sustainability.

Enhancing of the environmental management and performance of Egyptian SMEs in coastal areas

Within the framework of the Horizon 2020 Capacity Building/Mediterranean Environment Programme (H2020 CB/MEP) and in response to the Egyptian needs to better address the challenge of depolluting the Mediterranean, the CP/RAC organized a training workshop from 1-2 July 2012 in Cairo, Egypt to address the case of pollution-intensive small and medium enterprises in coastal areas.

CP/RAC organizes the H2020 sub-regional training on sustainable management of industrial areas

The sub-regional training “Towards a sustainable management of industrial activities in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia” held on 12th, 13th and 14th of June in Tunis, gathered 31 participants from Ministries of Trade and Industry, Environment, Managers of industrial parks and national organizations of Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.  Organized by the CP/RAC, the training aimed to address the environmental challenges of industrial zones and support them to steer towards a more sustainable future.

Process and BAT databases nearly to be enlarged

From May 31st, the 2 technological databases foreseen in the BAT4MED Project are available online through the project’s website. During September, 50 Horizontal Datasheets are being developed and designed to be included into the databases. Those tools are useful not only for the project, but they also constitute valuable information resources for companies, researchers, academia and public officers looking for more environmentally-friendly techniques.
