On May 22nd and 23rd took place, under the CAMP Levante de Almeria’s project framework, the Workshop “Location and environmental challenges for the agricultural sector of Eastern Almería: Management of the water footprint and sustainable production”. This activity was held on Tuesday, May 22nd at the Exhibition Centre and Congress Campohermoso, and Wednesday May 23rd at the Exhibition Center of the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata-Nijar Rodalquilar.
From 3rd to 5th April 2012, Athens hosted the training “Boosting the creation of Green Jobs to reduce sources of pollution in the Mediterranean”, organized under the framework of the Project Horizon 2020. The main objective of this course was to increase trainees’ understanding on how the creation of green jobs can play a crucial role to slow down the degradation of the Mediterranean environment while supporting the economy. The participants improved their skills in the development of strategies to boost the creation of green jobs in their respective countries.
In the 10th edition of the Day of Waste Prevention, the Catalan Waste Agency wants to encourage everybody to participate to assess the current situation on waste prevention, and give all stakeholders the opportunity to raise their voices, so as they can promote their initiatives, actions and projects.
On March 25th and 26th, it was held in Tel Aviv, Israel, the National Training “Boosting eco innovation and resource efficiency to go towards a green economy in Israel”. The training gathered more than 40 participants from different public bodies, consulting companies, civil society organizations and academia. The workshop aimed to provide new elements for the preparation of the Green Growth action plan, it focused on eco innovation and resource efficiency to advance towards a greener economy.
