The Global Eco Forum will take place this month in Barcelona

The Global Eco Forum returns to Barcelona (24th, 25th and 26th of October 2011) to be an essential meeting point for the opinion leaders and actors of the change towards the sustainability in the Euro-Med Region.

After the big success of the three previous editions, eco-union prepares the Global Eco Forum 2011, with a special approach on Green Economy and governance of sustainability, on the way towards the Rio 2012 Earth Summit.

The event will take place on the 24th, 25th and 26th of October at La Pedrera (Barcelona) under the motto "A Green Economy for a Sustainable World". International recognized experts and professionals will present their visions for a more sustainable and responsible world.

Among the expected key speakers, it is worth mentioning Mónica Frassoni, President of the European Union Alliance to Save Energy (EUASE), Paul Efmorfidis, founder of COCO-MAT Company, Teresa Ribera, Secretary of the Spanish Climate Change Bureau, Rafiq Al-Husseini, Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), Michael Scoullos, president of the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment Culture and Sustainable Development (MIO-ECSDE), Ferran Rodes, President of Havas Company, Myriam Cohen Welgryn, Vice President of Nature Danone, speakers from World Wildlife Foundation Mediterranean, International Union for the Conservation of the Nature in the Mediterranean Region, Green Economy Coalition, Kyoto Club, Nektarina, COPADE, among other institutionals representants from the public, private sector and NGO.

GEF´11 is organized by eco-union, Spanish environmental association not for profit, with the collaboration of several institutions (public and private).
