CPRAC CPRAC

Civil society

CP/RAC fosters cooperation between national and international stakeholders, facilitating synergies, experiences’ exchange, and information interchange, and promoting sustainable development, in a global and a regional context, for developed and developing countries.

One important stakeholder is the University, as a centre for research and development, playing a key role in leading civil society to sustainable patterns of consumption and production, and raising awareness of the impact that human activities have on the environment. Universities have a great positive influence on population decisions and lifestyles.

CP/RAC is aware of the need to take action in higher education to provide students, professors, university community, future entrepreneurs, industrialists and experts with a deeper insight into sustainable production and consumption and sound chemical management.

The University, its professors and students are one important stakeholder for the sustainable development. The professors are the leaders in research, and the students are the ones to leader the next institutional generation, running enterprises, managing industries, doing research, and contributing with their knowledge to sustainability.
