The Catalan Waste Agency encourages everybody to participate in the 10th anniversary of the Day of Waste Prevention

In the 10th edition of the Day of Waste Prevention, the Catalan Waste Agency wants to encourage everybody to participate to assess the current situation on waste prevention, and give all stakeholders the opportunity to raise their voices, so as they can promote their initiatives, actions and projects.

40 professionals from Israel, trained on eco innovation and resource efficiency

On March 25th and 26th, it was held in Tel Aviv, Israel, the National Training “Boosting eco innovation and resource efficiency to go towards a green economy in Israel”. The training gathered more than 40 participants from different public bodies, consulting companies, civil society organizations and academia. The workshop aimed to provide new elements for the preparation of the Green Growth action plan, it focused on eco innovation and resource efficiency to advance towards a greener economy.

In the framework of the Horizon 2020 Project, it was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the training course “Cleaner Technologies: application in the agro-food sector” on April 24th and 25th.

Horizon 2020 strengthens capacities on how to reduce Olive Mill Waste in the Mediterranean

As a world leader of olive cultivation and oil production, the Mediterranean has achieved substantial progress towards minimizing the negative environmental impacts of this sector. To showcase best environmental practices in olive mill waste management and related new technologies, while reaffirming the magnitude of the environmental pressure imposed by this activity in the region, the EU funded Horizon 2020 CB/MEP project organised a regional workshop in Greece from 19-21 March 2012.

H2020 introduces the Green Banking Concept in Tunisia

The training course “Towards a better environmental governance in the banking sector in Tunisia : introduction to Green Banking” was held in the framework of the H2020 project in Tunis, Tunisia on 24th and 25th April. The course aimed to familiarize the participants with the concept of "Green Banking" and find answers to current challenges.
