Regional Meeting to review the Lube oil ESM Guidelines and Sustainable Tannery sector. Barcelona, 22-24 Jul 2015

In the framework of the Horizon 2020 (H2020) Programme of UNEP/MAP and Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) , last 22-24 July 2015 there was held the Regional Meeting to review both the Guidelines on the environmentally sound management (ESM) of used Lube Oil, and the Guidelines on best practices toward a sustainable Tannery sector in the Mediterranean.

SCP/RAC held its 10th Ordinary National Focal Points Meeting

On 1-3 June 2015, SCP/RAC held its 10th Ordinary National Focal Points Meeting in Madrid (Spain). The meeting came out with the recommendation of national representatives to submit the 3rd draft of the SCP Action Plan to the next meeting of UNEP/Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP) Focal Points and with comments and suggestions to the 1st draft of the Roadmap for the implementation of the SCP Action Plan.

The Mediterranean Action Plan celebrates its 40th anniversary: "Together for a Sustainable Mediterranean"

Under the auspices of the Ministry for Environment of the Hellenic Republic, the United Nations Environment Programme/Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP) launched the celebration of its 40th anniversary in Athens, Greece on 19 May 2015.

Document on Compilation of PCBs applications for owners and public officials

A document on Compilation of PCBs applications for owners and public officials has been developed by SCP/RAC as part of its collaboration with the PCBs component of the MedPartnership Project (Environmentally Sound Management of equipment, stocks and wastes containing or contaminated by PCBs in national electricity companies of Mediterranean countries).
