A project supported by SCP/RAC promoting SCP in the Mediterranean region is labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean

The Senior Officials of the 43 Union for the Medierranean (UfM) countries approved unanimously the labelling of the "Med ReSCP: Post Rio+20 promotion of sustainable consumption and production patterns –with emphasis on resource efficiency– in the Mediterranean region" project during the Senior Officials Meeting that took place in Barcelona last 7-8 April.

Report on the environmental progress in the H2020 priority policies

The European Environment Agency (EEA) and the United Nations Environment Programme/Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP), with financial support from the European Commission under the ENPI-SEIS project, have coordinated the "H2020 Mediterranean report –Toward shared environmental information systems".

SCP/RAC promoted green entrepreneurship among young entrepreneurs

SCP/RAC participated in the Euro-Mediterranean Youth Meeting 2014 where 32 young entrepreneurs from different Mediterranean countries and the European Union could exchange experiences and good practices in the field of social entrepreneurship, from 7th to 11th April, 2014 in Barcelona.

Published the complete article on the economic implications of ecological deficit in Mediterranean countries

The Mediterranean Initiative of the Global Footprint Network has published the paper “Mounting Debt in a World in Overshoot: An Analysis of the link between the Mediterranean Region’s Economic and Ecological crises” in which it reflects on the economic  implications of the current resource and service overconsumption in the Mediterranean region.
