Fall is back with Global Eco Forum

On October 22 it is back to La Pedrera, Barcelona, the essential point meeting for decision-makers, opinion leaders and change agents towards sustainability in the Euro-Mediterranean Region: the Global Eco Forum organized by eco-union with the collaboration of CP/RAC.

This sixth edition will address once again the topic “Green Economy in the Mediterranean” and will focus on Natural Resources Management and Green Job Creation as we are celebrating the year of International Water Cooperation and with the aim to reduce urgently the dramatic unemployment rate, in particular among the youth. The event, which seeks to create networks and promote synergies among participants, will combine dialogues, panel discussions, workshops, cultural events as well as “The Dreamers Contest”.

Among the expected key speakers, it is worth mentioning Josep Enric Llebot, Environment and Sustainability Secretary of the Territory and Sustainability Department of the government of Catalonia, Manuel Manonelles, director of the Foundation for a Culture of Peace, Delphine Borione, deputy secretary general for social and civil affairs of the Union for the Mediterranean, Anwar Zibaoui, coordinator of the Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Maria José Alonso, Spanish Office for Climate Change, Paulo Lombardi, director of World Wild Life Foundation Mediterranean, Bo Normander, director of the World Watch Europe Institute, along with representatives from public institutions, private sector and NGO organizations.

#GEF2013 is organized by eco-union, a non-profit organization working in the field of sustainability, with the collaboration of numerous public and private entities.
