Already scheduled the RACs' National Focal Points meetings

During May 2011 the National Focal Points meetings of the Regional Activity Centers (RACs) of the Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) will take place.

These meetings are crucial because in them the Regional Activity Centers will explain the activities realized in the last two years and during the meeting it will be discussed and approved the proposed working program for the biennium 2012-2013.

The outcome of the meeting will be a working plan with activities and actions to develop in the next two years in order to continue working to protect and improve the environment and the development of the Mediterranean region, based on sustainable principles.

Earlier that month, from the 3rd to the 5th of May, it will be held at Malta the National Focal Points meeting of the Regional Activity Centre for Emergency Situations of Marine Pollution in the Mediterranean (REMPEC).

Afterwards, from the 11th to the 13th of May, it will take place in Nice (France) the joint National Focal Points meeting of the Center for Information and Communication of the United Nations Environment Programme (INFO/RAC), the Blue Plan Regional Activity Centre (BP/RAC) and the Regional Activity Centre for Priority Actions Programme (RAC/PAP).

In mid-month, from the 17th to 20th of May, it will be held in Marseille (France) the National Focal Points Meeting of the Regional Activity Centre for Specially Protected Areas (RAC/SPA).

And finally, from the 22nd to the 24th of May, the National Focal Points meeting of the Regional Activity Centre for Cleaner Production (RAC/CP) it will be held in Barcelona (Spain) and the Coordinated Research Program and Pollution Monitoring of the Mediterranean (MEDPOL) will organize its National Focal Points meeting in Rhodes (Greece) from the 25th to the 27th of May.
