Workshop on Good Fishing Practices in Almeria (Spain)

The 16th and 17th of June it will be held in Almeria (Spain) the first Workshop on Dissemination of Best Practices in Fishing. The activity, which is integrated in the CAMP Levante project, will be held around Cabo de Gata and is coordinated by the Regional Activity Centre for Cleaner Production (CP/RAC).

In the workshop it will be given training in sustainable fishing operations to the members of the artisanal fleet in the area and to associations and groups involved in the fisheries sector. In order to do that the event will have the contribution of Lonxanet Foundation for Sustainable Fisheries, which will explain its experiences in the field of fisheries management.

CAMP Levante is a project that, following a methodology established by the United Nations, seeks to promote in this stretch of coastline a change in the management model implementing Integrated Coastal Zone Management.
